We’ll transfer you to the hotel and you’ll have some free time. You will receive information about the start of your tour in the afternoon, either directly or through the information board located at the reception of the hotel.

In the morning, we’ll take a three-hour guided tour of the Eternal City, combining a walking tour of Imperial Rome with a panoramic bus ride to admire one of the oldest and most influential cities in Western civilization.
During the tour, we’ll see several iconic landmarks, including the Arch of Constantine, the exterior of the Colosseum and the Imperial Forums, the Circus Maximus, the Baths of Caracalla, the Basilica of Saint Mary Major, the Pyramid of Cestius, and Castel Sant’Angelo. This tour will end around 11:00 a.m. at Vatican City, an independent state within the city of Rome and the center of the Catholic Church. For those who are especially interested, our guide will offer an optional visit after the panoramic tour to explore the most important halls of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel in more detail. Free afternoon. 6:00 p.m.: To end the day, we’ll include a transfer from the hotel to the popular Trastevere neighborhood, known for its charming restaurants and vibrant atmosphere. 8:30 p.m.: Return to the hotel (Approx.)

Giovanni in Venere Abbey (admission included). We’ll stop at this beautiful 11th-century Benedictine abbey, perched on a hill overlooking the Adriatic Sea and surrounded by vineyards and olive trees. The abbey is built on the ruins of an ancient Roman temple dedicated to Venus.

Termoli. We’ll arrive in this charming seaside town, known for its walled old quarter, 13th-century castle, and Romanesque cathedral. You’ll have time for lunch and a stroll. How about taking a dip in the sea?

Bari.
Arrival and free time to explore this beautiful port city, inhabited since before Roman times. Its historic center, with narrow winding streets surrounded by ancient walls and dominated by a Norman castle, is one of the symbols of Apulia. The city´s vibrant atmosphere makes it truly special, full of the authentic charm of southern Italy.
Transfer to the hotel.
We’ll cross the Apennines to the Adriatic Sea coast, enjoying stunning coastal landscapes along the way.
From May to mid-October, if the weather is favorable, you’ll have the chance to swim at Termoli beach. If you’re interested, please remember to bring your swimsuit and a towel.

Brindisi. You’ll have time to explore this walled city, whose important port connects southern Italy with Greece. Enjoy a pleasant seaside stroll, visit the impressive Roman column, and wander through the charming old quarter.

Arrival in this charming city, renowned for its stunning baroque architecture, which has earned the nickname "Florence of the South." The historic center is filled with beautifully ornate baroque buildings and churches. You’ll have time for a walk and lunch.

Gallipoli.
We’ll explore Gallipoli, a coastal city on the shores of the Ionian Sea. Founded by the ancient Greeks, who called it the “beautiful city,” Gallipoli boasts a rich history with Arab, Norman, and Aragonese influences. Its old town is connected to the mainland by a 17th-century bridge and is a maze of narrow streets lined with historic buildings, including a magnificent cathedral, castle and ancient walls.

Alberobello.
Enjoy time to explore this charming town, famous for its unique conical-shaped houses known as trulli . These distinctive structures, with their stone-stacked roofs, are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a remarkable example of Italian rural architecture.

Matera.
Arrival in this breathtaking city, renowned for its ancient historic center and the Sassi di Matera, a network of ancient dwellings and structures carved into the rock, dating back thousands of years. Matera is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest continuously inhabited human settlements in the world. You’ll have time to explore and enjoy an included lunch.
Departure from Matera. We’ll continue through Basilicata and Campania, taking in the beautiful mountain landscapes.
Naples. Arrival in the evening. We recommend taking a stroll through this impressive city.
Today, we’ll explore two spectacular and authentic towns.
Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, especially for Matera.

Departure from Naples by ferry. The boat trip will last approximately one hour, offering picturesque views.
Arrival at the island of Capri.
You´ll have free time to stroll and enjoy lunch on this jewel of the Tyrrhenian Sea, where nature, breathtaking views, glamour, and history come together in perfect harmony. We recommend taking the funicular up to the center of Capri to wander through the village’s elegant streets, lined with boutiques and charming terraces.
We’ll take a ferry (schedules may vary) to Sorrento, enjoying beautiful scenery along the way.
Sorrento. We’ll explore this charming and lively town perched on a cliff, with its port located in the lower area.

Salerno. Arrival and accommodation. Would you like to take a stroll through this vibrant southern Italian city?
Stunning landscapes in the Bay of Naples and Sorrento.
65 km, plus boat trip.
Part of this trip will be by boat, so we recommend bringing warm clothes. Don’t forget your camera in case you want to photograph the breathtaking views. Due to weather conditions, ships connecting Naples with Capri or Capri with Sorrento may not operate. In such cases, the route will be modified to arrive at Sorrento by highway and visit Amalfi instead of Capri.
During the winter months, the schedules will be modified (departing earlier from Naples) to make the most of the daylight.

Total distance covered by road: 475 km.
Departure from Salerno. We’ll travel south through Italy, enjoying views of mountains and charming villages. Our route will take us along the picturesque coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Sanctuary of San Francesco di Paola. There will be time to explore this beautiful sanctuary set in stunning surroundings. Don’t miss the chance to visit the cave! Afterward, there will be free time for a stroll and lunch in the charming old town of Paola.
Departure from Paola. We’ll continue to Villa San Giovanni, arriving around 4:30 p.m., where we’ll board a ship for a short 20-minute crossing to the island of Sicily.
Messina. You’ll have time to explore the city center and enjoy your first experience on the island.

After breakfast, we will head to Giardini Naxos, the first Greek settlement in Sicily (founded in 734 B.C.), with its pleasant seafront promenade and popular beaches.

Taormina. Free time to stroll through the beautiful city of Taormina, at the foot of Mount Etna, which Churchill once described as the most beautiful place on earth. Its lively old town invites exploration, and its Greek Theater offers unforgettable views.

Roman Villa of Casale (admission included).
Guided tour of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the Roman Empire, villas symbolized agricultural wealth. At Casale, not only has the 4th-century architectural layout been preserved, but thanks to their richness and quality, the mosaics decorating nearly every room are considered the finest of the Roman world.
Villa Romana del Casale – Departure. We continue crossing the mountainous heart of the island.
Palermo – Arrival at the end of the day. Dinner included.

Today, we’ll embark on a guided city tour of Palermo with a local expert.
Highlights include the cathedral, famous for its blend of architectural styles and royal tombs (admission included), and the Palazzo dei Normanni, a former royal palace with fountains, markets, and gardens. We’ll also visit Monreale to see its cathedral (admission included), a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its breathtaking golden mosaics that adorn the entire interior. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at your leisure.
For smaller groups, the tour may be conducted as part of a regular excursion offered by local companies instead of a private tour.

At the time your guide says, we will make a transfer to the airport to catch a domestic flight includedin your trip.
On arrival at destination we will give you another hotel transfer. Your guide will contact you at the end of the afternoon or you can consult the information in your hotel reception. NB: remember that on domestic flights, the luggage normally allowed is one suitcase of up to 20 kg in the hold. Passengers must pay for all excess luggage directly to the airline

Departure from Rome. We’ll head north towards Umbria.
Orvieto.
We’ll arrive in this medieval city located on a large summit. First, we’ll visit the marvelous viewpoint offering stunning views of the city and its walls. We’ll then ride the escalators that connect the lower part of the town with the medieval center, where we’ll marvel at the cathedral, a stunning masterpiece of Italian Gothic art. After that, you’ll have time to explore its charming streets that transport us to another era.
Departure from Orvieto.
Castiglione del Lago. Nestled on the shores of Lake Trasimeno, this picturesque historic village offers spectacular views over the water.

Siena. We’ll arrive in this magnificent city, rich in medieval history. You’ll have free time to explore the center with its narrow streets, towers, and palaces, including the famous Piazza del Campo and the Duomo, before we head to the hotel at 07:00 p.m.

Siena – Departure. We travel through the heart of Tuscany.

We´ll walk to the city’s historic center, where we can enjoy Florence’s lively atmosphere. We suggest that those interested in art visit one of its magnificent museums today, since they are closed on Mondays, such as the Uffizi Gallery (considered the finest art museum in Italy) or the Accademia Gallery (home to Michelangelo’s original David). Dinner is included.

For this reason, our bus will drop us off at Vittorio Veneto neighborhood and we will walk from there to the historic center where we will have time to stroll around, enjoy the Florentine atmosphere or visit its museums such as the Uffizi Gallery (considered the finest art museum in Italy) or the Accademia Gallery (home to Michelangelo’s original David (please note both are closed on Mondays). Transfer to the hotel is scheduled at 7:30 p.m.. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes.

We begin the morning with a transfer to the Michelangelo Viewpoint, where you will enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the city.
Afterward, we will walk to the historic city center, where we´ll have a city tour led by a local guide through Florence, one of the most visited cities in the country. This city, known as the cradle of the Renaissance, has inspired some of the most influential artists and thinkers in history, such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Botticelli, and Raphael. Highlights include the Gothic Cathedral (Duomo di Firenze), the ancient stone bridge (Ponte Vecchio) with its goldsmith stores, and Piazza della Signoria, the political heart of the city with the town hall in a medieval building. We’ll spend about two hours exploring these sites on foot. Today, you’ll have plenty of free time, which we suggest spending with a stroll through the artistic center of the city. Visit the Ponte Vecchio with its shopping arcades and explore the majestic squares.

Departure from Florence.
Pisa.
We’ll be required to drop you off at the tourist bus parking area. From there, we’ll include a ride on the tourist train to access the monumental site. You’ll have time to explore the impressive complex of Pisa, featuring the Leaning Tower, Baptistery, and Cathedral.
Departure from Pisa. We’ll continue traveling along the Mediterranean coast. Along the way, we’ll pass the Carrara Marble Mountains, which appear as if they are covered in snow.
Levanto.
We’ll arrive by train (tickets included) to one of its charming towns (normally Vernazza, but on peak tourism dates, it could be Manarola or Corniglia, very similar towns that are somewhat less crowded). The train is scheduled to depart at 01:05 p.m. (subject to change), taking us through long tunnels next to the sea into the Cinque Terre region. Buses can’t access this area because of its steep, mountainous terrain. The area, which remained isolated and preserved its traditions, now thrives on sustainable tourism—thanks to its designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and its international fame—complemented by high-quality agriculture and traditional fishing.
Vernazza - Arrival by train. We’ll arrive in one of the five villages of the Cinque Terre region, which retains its coastal character. Highlights include the Santa Margherita Church, built in 1318 on the seashore. Time for lunch.
Departure from Vernazza (time subject to change). We’ll return by train to Levanto, where our bus will continue along the coast towards Genoa.
Genoa - Arrival in the city of elegant Renaissance palaces and the birthplace of Christopher Columbus. Free time in its historic center—one of the largest in Europe—a labyrinth of narrow streets filled with palaces, churches, and charming little trattorias.
Today is a day by the sea. The Ligurian Rivera coastline offers some of the most beautiful scenery and coastal gems in Europe.
The train to Cinque Terre is a regular commuter service, not a tourist train. During peak tourism times, there can be long waits as trains may be full, and seat reservations are not available. In some cases, the journey might be done standing.

Departure from Genoa. We’ll travel along the stunning Italian Riviera.
Rapallo.
We’ll take a boat for a 20-minute crossing to Portofino, one of the most exclusive destinations in Europe. Enjoy some free time to explore this charming town.
We’ll return to Rapallo, a delightful coastal town in the Liguria region. There will be time for a leisurely walk and lunch.

Milan.
Arrival in this elegant city, a symbol of modernity and culture in northern Italy. You´ll have time to stroll through the city center, where you´ll find Milan’s famous Gothic cathedral in Piazza del Duomo, along with the statue of Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of unified Italy in 1861. We also recommend walking through the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II—an iconic shopping arcade with impressive glass vaults—and continuing to the city’s renowned opera house, La Scala.
Transfer to the hotel.
By boat, we’ll reach the enclave of Portofino. It’s advisable to wear warm clothing to enjoy the trip on deck.
Due to adverse weather conditions or during winter, the boat trip to Portofino (whether from Rapallo or Santa Margherita) may be canceled due to weather conditions. In such cases, you will have extra free time in the town, and if you wish, you can reach Portofino by local shuttle buses. Please note that this service may have limitations in frequency and comfort, including long waiting times.

Departure from Milan. We’ll take the motorway to the great lakes. First, we’ll travel to Lake Orta; its isolated position and smaller size give it a special charm.
Orta San Giulio - A beautiful, intact medieval town by the lake.
In the center of the lake, we’ll immediately see the Island of San Giulio with its monastery. We’ll take a small tourist train to the town and then sail across the lake on hired boats to the island. We’ll have time to explore the town and the island.
Departure from Orta San Giulio. We’ll travel to Lake Maggiore.
Stresa - Arrival in this tourist town by Lake Maggiore. You’ll have time to stroll and enjoy lunch. If you wish, there’s also an opportunity to take a boat trip to the Borromean Islands located just off the town’s shore.
Departure from Stresa. We’ll leave the mountains and travel through the industrious areas of the Po Valley.
Verona.
We’ll see the beautiful region of the Italian Lakes; the mountain scenery with snow-peaked summits and large Alpine lakes surrounded by picturesque villages is unforgettable.
Bring some warm clothes; you may need them for the boat trips. On days with bad weather, our stop in Stresa might be shorter.

Venice.
We’ll arrive at the port of Tronchetto and take a short boat ride to Venice. To get to know this magical city, we’ll include a visit to St. Mark’s Square with a local guide. You will also see the famous Murano glasswork. Afterwards, enjoy some free time—perhaps a gondola ride?
Evening transfer to the hotel, normally in Mestre or Marghera.

Depending on the time of year, sunlight, and traffic conditions, we might visit Verona upon arrival from the lakes. In these cases, we’ll leave for Venice earlier.

Padua. We are in the city of San Antonio, home to a beautiful medieval basilica that receives many pilgrims, with bustling streets in the center. Time to visit the Basilica.
Departure from Padua. We’ll travel to the Adriatic coast and then to San Marino, a tiny independent country surrounded by Italy.
San Marino. Free time at the top of the heavily fortified mountain. Time to stroll, have lunch, and do some shopping.

Gubbio. A small, marvelously preserved city, where the Palace of Consuls and the twelfth-century cathedral stand out. Time for a walk.

Perugia. Arrival and accommodation.
The highlight is the arrival in San Marino, with its fortress perched atop the mountain. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes while crossing the Apennines.

In the region of Umbria, Perugia is a fascinating historic medieval city.
With a local guide, we’ll enjoy a guided tour. Using the escalators that cross the rocky outcrop, we’ll reach and explore the city’s remarkable historic center, including its underground medieval streets.

Assisi. Arrival in this charming medieval city protected by impressive walls, birthplace of Saint Francis. You’ll have time for lunch, to visit the basilicas and to wander through the cobblestone streets with their stunning views of the Umbrian countryside.
