Booked this for a joint family holiday with my parents and it mostly delivered on the promise of history plus coastal fun. Dubrovnik's walls at sunset were the standout for the adults while the kids preferred the boat day and cove swimming near Elafiti. Split's old town streets had enough gelato stops to keep the children happy between sightseeing. Zagreb felt like a calmer finale, good for winding down before the flight home.
The pace across Dubrovnik, Split and Zagreb suited everyone's energy, kids and in-laws alike. Zagreb's funicular up to the Upper Town was a small, gentle thrill that closed a busy week off just right.
