The cathedral and clock tower were beautiful, but the restaurants right by Old Town Square were overpriced for what turned up on the plate. One dinner in particular cost a small fortune and was thoroughly forgettable.
My husband planned this as a surprise for our anniversary and Prague did not disappoint. The clock tower crowd gathering before the hour struck felt like being part of some old ritual. St Vitus Cathedral's stained glass work is unlike anything we had seen before. Evenings on Charles Bridge, just wandering with no plan, ended up being our favourite memory.
Beautiful city for a couple's week away, Petřín Tower view alone is worth the climb. Charles Bridge gets very touristy by mid morning, go at sunrise instead.
