Hanoi, Halong Bay, Saigon and Mekong

Arrive in the morning at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi and transfer to your hotel for check-in and rest. In the afternoon, head out on a half-day city tour exploring Hanoi's blend of Chinese and French architecture. Visit the Temple of Literature, home to Literature Lake and Khue Van Pavilion, followed by Hoa Lo Prison. Continue to Hoan Kiem Lake in the heart of the city to see Turtle Tower and Ngoc Son Temple. Later, return to your hotel with free time to stroll the city centre and visit Hoan Kiem walking street, including the weekend night market if travelling Friday to Sunday. Overnight in Hanoi.

Have breakfast at the hotel, check out, and journey to Halong Bay. Reach International Tuan Chau Harbour and board Syrena Cruise by tender. After check-in, set sail into Halong Bay while enjoying an onboard lunch. Cruise past Ba Hang Fishing Village, Dinh Huong Island, Cho Da Islet, and Ga Choi Islet. Stop near Bo Nau Cave in the bay's core, then take a tender to explore Surprise Cave. Continue by tender to Titov Island to swim, relax on the sand, or walk up to the island summit. Return to the cruise to watch the sunset from the sun deck before anchoring for the night in Halong Bay.

Begin the morning cruising toward Luon Cave. Following breakfast, set out on a guided visit to Luon Cave aboard a traditional woven bamboo boat rowed by a local boatman. Return to the cruise to relax and check out of your cabin before disembarking at Tuan Chau Harbour. Transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Saigon. On arrival, transfer to your hotel and settle in for an overnight stay in Saigon.

After breakfast, travel to the Cu Chi Tunnels outside the city. Spend an hour discovering the underground tunnel network used during the war, followed by a sampling of traditional tea and cassava. Return to Saigon for an afternoon city tour. Visit the Reunification Palace, former home of the President of the Republic of Vietnam, and the War Remnants Museum. Admire the classical French colonial facade of Notre Dame Cathedral and explore the intricate Chinese architecture of Jade Emperor Pagoda. Conclude your sightseeing at Ben Thanh Market before returning to the hotel for the night in Saigon.

Have breakfast and travel through countryside rice paddies to My Tho in the Mekong Delta. Board a boat to cruise along an estuary creek of the Mekong River to Con Phung, also known as Phoenix Island. Continue by motorised boat through peaceful village waterways in Ben Tre Province. Stop at a local restaurant for lunch featuring regional Saigon cuisine. In the afternoon, visit a coconut handicraft workshop, explore orchards and bee farms, taste natural honey and honey wine, enjoy tropical fruit and live traditional music, tour a distillery, and observe coconut candy production with tastings. Return to Saigon for the night.

Have breakfast at your hotel and complete check-out formalities. Transfer by road to Tan Son Nhat Airport in Saigon for your scheduled return flight, bringing your Vietnam journey to an end.
