This was our first international trip with both kids and Nagoya made it stress free. Everything within reasonable distance, nobody got cranky from long commutes. Toyota Commemorative Museum has interactive stations that kept my daughter engaged for over an hour, unusual for a museum visit with a child. LEGOLAND Japan Resort needs no introduction, just go with realistic expectations on queue times. Coming back home, both kids are already asking when we go to Japan again.
Best family trip we have done, Nagoya is underrated for kids who love trains and building blocks.
Good balance of learning and fun for the children. Only issue was the June heat made walking between attractions tiring for my in-laws, plan for more breaks.

Content of the trip is great for kids but our transfer from the airport took much longer than expected due to traffic, nearly two hours with tired children in the car. Once we settled in, LEGOLAND and the museum made up for it.
Took our two kids (ages 7 and 10) on this Nagoya trip and it was such a hit. SCMAGLEV railway park had them running between exhibits, my son wants to be a train engineer now. LEGOLAND was the highlight for the younger one, we spent almost a full day there without anyone getting bored. Toyota museum surprised me, even as an adult I learned things about how cars are made. Single city format meant no packing and repacking, ideal with young children in tow.
