Nagoya as a single base for the whole family worked really well, no constant packing and moving. LEGOLAND was obviously the kids' favourite, though the queues on a weekend were longer than we expected.
Warm June weather in Nagoya was manageable, and having one base for five nights meant no exhausting daily packing with young children. Nagoya Castle and LEGOLAND made for a nice mix of old and new.
Check in at the property took nearly an hour longer than expected on arrival day with tired kids waiting in the lobby, not the best start. LEGOLAND and the castle the next day thankfully turned things around.
Staying put for five nights was the right call, though the Atsuta shrine area we wandered had almost no English signage and we spent a while guessing at what we were looking at. A small thing, and the kids were happy chasing pigeons regardless.
