The journey

This six-day circuit takes you through the high-altitude landscapes of Ladakh starting and ending in Leh. After an essential acclimatisation day and a sightseeing tour of Leh's historical and spiritual landmarks, including the Sangam confluence and Shanti Stupa, the route crosses Khardung La at 18,380 feet into Nubra Valley.

From the sand dunes of Hunder and the hilltop monastery of Diskit, continue onwards to the shores of Pangong Tso. Conclude your mountain journey by traversing Chang La pass back to Leh, visiting ancient monastic heritage sites along the Indus valley.

Arrival in Leh and Acclimatisation

Meet your transfer vehicle at Leh Airport between the scheduled pickup windows of 9:00 AM or 12:00 PM. Travel to your hotel and check in. Spend the rest of the day resting at leisure to adapt to the high altitude, or optionally walk through the local market and cafes nearby. In the evening, attend a trip briefing session with your trip lead. Dinner is served at the hotel before your overnight stay in Leh.
