Leh, Nubra, Pangong, Kargil and Srinagar Tour

Arrive at Leh Airport where a designated vehicle meets you and drops you at your hotel. Check in and dedicate the rest of the day entirely to rest and acclimatisation. Keep well hydrated and avoid physical exertion to adapt safely to the high altitude. Dinner is served at your hotel, where you spend your first night in Leh.

After breakfast, start your local sightseeing tour around Leh. Stop at Sangam to view the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers. Visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, experience the pull at Magnetic Hill, and tour the Hall of Fame war memorial maintained by the Indian Army. End the day's visits at the white-domed Shanti Stupa. Later in the evening, you can explore the local market for shopping and cafes before returning to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Have breakfast and depart for Nubra Valley on a 130 km drive. Traverse Khardung La at an altitude of 18,380 feet, enjoying views of towering mountain ranges along the way. Descend into Nubra Valley to the Hunder Sand Dunes, where you can opt for an ATV ride or a double-hump Bactrian camel ride at personal cost. Later, check into your campsite. Dinner is provided at camp before your overnight stay.

Enjoy breakfast, then embark on a 170 km round-trip excursion towards the Indo-Pak border to reach Turtuk, famous for its apricot orchards. Spend time wandering through the village on foot, sun bask along the banks of the Shyok River, and visit the Balti Museum to learn about local culture. Return to Nubra Valley by the evening for dinner and another overnight stay at your camp.

After breakfast, depart Nubra Valley on a 180 km journey towards Pangong Lake. En route, stop at Diskit Monastery to see its prominent 100-foot tall colourful statue of Buddha. Continue the drive across high-altitude roads to arrive at Pangong Lake, known for its changing shades of blue and Bollywood associations. Check into your lake cottages, enjoy the blissful views, and relish dinner followed by stargazing at your overnight stay.

Wake up to early morning views over Pangong Lake and have breakfast before your 150 km drive back to Leh. Cross Chang La at 17,586 feet, one of the world's highest passes. If time permits, stop to visit Shey Palace with its 12-metre-tall gold-gilded Buddha statue, as well as Thiksey Monastery, the largest in Central Ladakh. Arrive in Leh, check into your designated hotel, and sit down for dinner before resting for the night.

Have breakfast and begin the 216 km drive towards Kargil. Along the highway, pass or stop by Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, Hall of Fame, and the Sangam confluence if scheduled. Traverse the high-altitude passes of Fotu La and Namika La at 12,198 feet, and pass Lamayuru Monastery. Reach Kargil in the afternoon or evening, check into your designated hotel, and enjoy dinner followed by an overnight stay.

Eat an early breakfast and travel towards Srinagar, travelling through Dras, recognized as one of the coldest inhabited places on Earth. Visit the Kargil War Memorial to learn about the 1999 conflict, followed by a brief stop at the iconic Zojila Pass at 11,649 feet before continuing past Sonmarg into the Kashmir Valley. Arrive in Srinagar and check into your houseboats. Dinner is served followed by an overnight stay in Srinagar.

After an early breakfast, check out from the hotel and take the opportunity for local sightseeing in Srinagar if you wish. Get transferred to the airport for your onward flight back home as the tour concludes.
