Start the day with breakfast before exploring Madurai's rich heritage. Visit the revered Meenakshi Amman Temple and the grand 17th-century Thirumalai Nayakkar Mahal. Continue to the Gandhi Memorial Museum, noting that the museum is closed on Sundays and closes for lunch between 13:00 and 14:00. Enjoy breakfast, check out of your hotel, and drive east from Madurai to the sacred island of Rameshwaram. Take an early or packed breakfast for a full day across the island. Begin at the renowned Ramanathaswamy Temple, visit Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple, and climb Gandhamadana Parvatham for wide island views. Pay your respects at the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Memorial, then travel out to Dhanushkodi, view Ram Setu Point from the shore, and stop at Kothandaramaswamy Temple. Return to your Rameshwaram hotel for the night.

Have an early packed breakfast, check out of Rameshwaram, and begin the drive south to Kanyakumari, taking around six hours. Head straight to the jetty to take the return ferry to Vivekananda Rock Memorial and the Thiruvalluvar Statue. The visit to Bhagavathy Amman Temple is saved for tomorrow. Afterwards, visit Kanyakumari Beach and watch the sunset over the confluence of three oceans at Triveni Sangam, weather permitting. Check into your hotel for an overnight stay in Kanyakumari.

Wake early to view the sunrise over the sea, weather permitting, followed by breakfast. Travel to the historic Padmanabhapuram Palace to admire its traditional wooden architecture, keeping in mind the palace is closed on Mondays. Return to the town to visit Our Lady of Ransom Church, Bhagavathy Amman Temple, Gandhi Memorial Mandapam, and Mayapuri Wonder Wax Museum on Cape Road. Spend time shopping and strolling the local streets before your second night in Kanyakumari.

After breakfast, check out of your Kanyakumari hotel and take the return drive across southern Tamil Nadu back to Madurai. You will be dropped off at Madurai airport or railway station in the evening for your onward travel, concluding your tour.
