We went in June expecting the odd shower and got two full days of rain in Langkawi, which wiped out our Kilim mangrove trip. We squeezed it onto the last morning instead and it felt rushed. The KL leg and Penang Hill were lovely, but the itinerary really needs a buffer day for weather.
