Standing on the Skybridge at sunset with the Petronas towers glowing was the moment we will remember forever. Langkawi's Tanjung Rhu beach gave us the quiet, just-us time we wanted after the city buzz of KL. Eleven nights felt just right, nothing rushed.
We went in June expecting the odd shower and got two full days of rain in Langkawi, which wiped out our Kilim mangrove trip. We squeezed it onto the last morning instead and it felt rushed. The KL leg and Penang Hill were lovely, but the itinerary really needs a buffer day for weather.
