Langkawi ended up being our favourite stop despite being last on the route. All the city hopping in KL and Penang before it made the island quiet feel even sweeter.
Kilim Geoforest mangroves by boat in Langkawi was unexpectedly one of the most peaceful things we did on this whole trip. The guide pointed out eagles circling overhead while we drifted quietly between the mangrove roots. Kuala Lumpur and Penang before it had been all city energy and street food, so this felt like an entirely different, calmer chapter. Ending the trip on the water like that was the right call.
