A grand route, but the funicular queue up Penang Hill in the heat nearly finished the two of us off.
Penang Hill at sunset with the whole island spread below is one of the most romantic views we have seen anywhere in Asia. Georgetown's old heritage lanes right after were a lovely way to end the day.
Petronas Twin Towers lit up at night with my husband beside me, simply magical.
Georgetown's street art alone makes the Penang leg of this trip worth it.
The heritage lanes of Georgetown after the hill at dusk were a lovely, unhurried way to end things. Old shophouses, lantern light and a kopi stop before bed, we did not want it to finish.
Solid overall route but Chinatown in KL felt overly touristy and pushy with vendors constantly pulling you towards their stalls, not the relaxed evening we expected. Langkawi and Penang were far more enjoyable.
