Mauritius Island and Coast Discovery

Land at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, meet your representative, and take an SIC transfer to InterContinental Resort Mauritius. Spend your afternoon unwinding by the pool or taking a slow walk along the sandy beach with fresh coconuts. As evening sets in, watch the sunset over the Indian Ocean. Dinner is included tonight at the resort before your first overnight stay.

Have breakfast at the resort before setting out on the North Island Discovery Tour. Begin at L'Aventure du Sucre to tour the restored 19th-century sugar factory and sample rum. Continue to Fort Adelaide, also known as La Citadelle, for elevated views of Port Louis harbour. Drive through town past China Town, Jummah Mosque, St. Louis Cathedral, the High Court Building, and Port Louis Theatre. Stop at Port Louis Bazaar to sample hot dholl puri street food, then stroll Caudan Waterfront. Visit the Aapravasi Ghat UNESCO World Heritage Site before heading to Château de Labourdonnais for tropical gardens and juice and rum tasting. Return to the resort for dinner and overnight stay.

Start the day with breakfast and travel south to Grand Bassin, or Ganga Talao, a crater lake revered by Hindus featuring a 108-foot statue of Lord Shiva. Drive across Plaine Champagne past the highland crater lake of Bassin Blanc to the Valley of Colours, renowned for 23 shades of volcanic soil. Here you can try the Nepalese suspension bridge, zipline, or jeep ride. Continue to Floreal to visit the Model Ship Factory and browse local handicrafts. Finish with 360-degree views from the rim of Trou aux Cerfs volcanic crater. Return past Curepipe to the resort for dinner and your overnight stay.

After breakfast, transfer to Belle Mare Plage along the east coast for watersports. Board a speedboat to Île aux Cerfs, where you spend an unhurried day surrounded by turquoise lagoons and white sands. Snorkel among the shallow reefs, participate in watersports, or rest on the beach. Visit a secluded waterfall on the island and enjoy a beachside meal at your leisure. In the afternoon, return by boat and transfer back to InterContinental Resort Mauritius for dinner and your final night.

Enjoy breakfast at the resort and a final walk along the coastline. Complete your check-out formalities before taking your scheduled seat-in-coach transfer to Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport for your return flight to India.
