Nohkalikai Falls, Nongriat Root Bridge and Kaziranga

Meet your group and trip captain at the pick-up point in Guwahati for a brief introduction. Drive up into Meghalaya to reach the hill town of Shillong. Check into your hotel with standard check-in from 1:00 pm and unwind. In the evening, head out for cafe hopping and explore the local markets of Shillong. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Have breakfast and begin the drive towards the Dawki River, also known as the Umngot River, celebrated for its clear turquoise water. On the way, stop at Krang Suri Falls to take in the views and enjoy its turquoise pool. Continue to the village of Shnongpdeng near Dawki and check into riverside camps. Spend the evening around a bonfire, weather permitting. Dinner is served at camp before your overnight stay in Shnongpdeng.

Eat breakfast, then enjoy adventure activities along the river including cliff jumping, boating, snorkeling, and kayaking in the clear waters. Later, drive towards Cherrapunji, famous for its living root bridges and heavy rainfall. Along the route close to the Indo-Bangladesh border, visit Mawlynnong village with its tidy paths and vistas across the plains of Bangladesh. Arrive in Cherrapunji, check into your hotel, and rest for the night.

Have an early breakfast and set off to see Seven Sister Falls cascading down rocky cliffs. Next, tour Mawsmai Caves to observe natural limestone stalactites. Visit the Single Root Bridge before moving to Tyrna Village, the trail head for the forest hike. Trek through Nongriat Village past rivers and pools to reach the iconic Double Decker Living Root Bridge. After exploring the bridges and village surroundings, hike back and return to your Cherrapunji hotel for the night.

After an early breakfast, check out of your hotel and drive back toward Shillong. Stop at Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest plunge waterfall in the state dropping 1,115 feet. Visit Garden of Caves to see rocky streams and natural caves, then continue to Laitlum Canyons for expansive views across deep valley gorges. Stop by Elephant Falls with its three cascades before reaching Shillong. Check into your hotel for an overnight stay.

Eat breakfast, check out, and take a scenic journey north towards Kaziranga National Park in Assam. Along the route, make a stop at Umiam Lake, a wide reservoir bordered by wooded hills. Continue the drive past valleys and forests to Kaziranga. Upon arrival, check into your resort surrounded by natural foliage. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing or enjoying recreational activities within the resort grounds. Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

Set off on an early morning jeep safari inside Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for the one-horned rhino, wild elephants, and deer. After completing the safari and checking out by 11:00 am, board your transport for the drive back to Guwahati. You will be dropped at Guwahati Airport by around 6:00 pm for your flight home.
