Munnar, Jatayu and the Varkala–Kanyakumari coast

Meet your driver on arrival at Kochi airport or railway station and take the scenic winding drive up into the hills of Munnar. Enjoy views of mist-covered slopes and tea estates along the way. Check in to your hotel and spend a restful evening settling in. You will stay overnight in Munnar.

After breakfast, head out to explore Mattupetty Dam and Lake, where boating is optional at extra cost. Tour a working tea factory and visit the Tea Museum to learn how local leaves are processed. Please note that the Tea Museum is closed on Mondays. Continue to scenic Echo Point before enjoying a relaxed evening at your own pace. Return to your hotel for a second night in Munnar.

Have breakfast, check out of Munnar and travel by road to Thekkady. Visit Periyar National Park and Tiger Reserve, where you can opt for a boat safari or bamboo rafting at extra cost, subject to slot availability and safety conditions. Check in to your hotel, then wander through fragrant spice plantations and browse the local spice market. Purchases are separate and wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed. Spend the evening at leisure. Stay overnight in Thekkady.

Enjoy breakfast, check out, and drive towards Alleppey to board your deluxe shared houseboat. Cruise along peaceful palm-fringed canals, passing lush paddy fields and traditional riverside villages. Lunch and dinner are served on board. Air conditioning in cabins runs from 21:00 to 06:00, with daytime running available at an extra charge. Sleep overnight aboard the moored houseboat.

Have breakfast on the water before disembarking and driving south. Stop at Chadayamangalam to visit Jatayu Earth's Centre, taking the cable car up to the world's largest bird sculpture. Note that the 6D theatre, museum, and adventure zones are currently closed for maintenance. Continue to Varkala to check in to your hotel, then spend the afternoon exploring Varkala Cliff, seaside cafes, and Papanasam Beach at sunset. Stay overnight in Varkala.

After breakfast, check out of your Varkala hotel and drive along the coast to Kovalam. Once you check in to your hotel, spend a leisurely day exploring Lighthouse Beach, Hawa Beach, and Kovalam Beach. Lighthouse climbs, water sports, local seafood dining, and Ayurvedic wellness treatments are optional at your own cost. Stay overnight in Kovalam.

Take an early breakfast and set off on a day trip to Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu, at the southernmost tip of mainland India. Board the passenger ferry to Vivekananda Rock Memorial, view the towering Thiruvalluvar Statue, and visit the historic Kanyakumari Kumari Amman Temple. Ferry operations depend on local weather and sea conditions. Drive back to Kovalam in the evening for your second night at the hotel.

Enjoy breakfast at your Kovalam hotel before checking out. Your driver will transfer you to Trivandrum airport in good time for your flight home, where your holiday comes to an end.
