Queenstown to Franz Josef drive took far longer than the itinerary suggested with two young kids needing frequent stops. One activity also got cancelled last minute due to weather with no proper refund process explained to us on the ground. Rest of the South Island more than made up for this rough patch though. Just wish the local team had communicated the cancellation better.
