Waitomo Glowworm Caves felt like floating under a galaxy. We barely spoke the entire boat ride through, just stared upward at the tiny lights. Easily the most magical hour of our whole New Zealand trip. Worth every bit of the early morning start it required.
Loved the balance this package struck between adrenaline and calm. Rafting one day and a quiet vineyard the next felt perfectly paced for us. Neither of us are hardcore adventure people but the geyser and caves pushed us just enough. Would recommend to any couple wanting a bit of both worlds.
