Boat ride out to Crocodile Island gets a bit crowded midday with multiple tour groups arriving together, better to go early morning if you can arrange it. Underwater visibility was still lovely once we got in the water though.
Booked this as a delayed honeymoon and it turned out to be exactly the pace we wanted, slow mornings on the beach, an afternoon snorkelling trip near Crocodile Island, and evenings just walking the shore watching the sky change colour. The resort location made it easy to reach the main strip for dinner without needing a tricycle every time. By the third night neither of us wanted to leave, that says everything.
Beautiful break, the only snag was the boat out to Crocodile Island getting packed around midday when several tour groups turned up at once. Go early if you can arrange it, the water is calmer, but by lunchtime it was elbow to elbow out there.
The beach itself is everything the photos promise, but our transfer from the jetty to the resort turned into a near two-hour wait in the heat with our bags after some mix-up with the boat schedule. Not the arrival you want when you have flown in tired.
We went purely for a relaxed beach break after a hectic year at work and Boracay delivered exactly on that promise. White sand, warm water, good food along the strip, everything felt effortless.
Loved the beach and the food, only complaint is the wifi at the resort kept dropping in the evenings which was annoying when trying to video call family back home.
