Puka Shell Beach early morning, just the two of us and hardly another soul around, was worth waking up early for. Snorkelling later that day at Crocodile Island turned into an unplanned two hour adventure because neither of us wanted to get out of the water.

Our honeymoon trip to Boracay could not have gone better, seven nights felt like exactly enough time to properly switch off together. The paraw boat sunset sail and the snorkelling day at Crocodile Island were easily our two favourite memories.

Sailing on a traditional paraw boat as the sun dipped down was the most romantic hour of our whole trip.

Mount Luho viewpoint gives you the whole island in one frame, worth the short uphill walk for the photos alone. Beach days blurred together in the best way, though budget category resort food was fairly basic.

Budget friendly and still felt like a proper romantic island escape, exactly what we wanted.
