Seychelles: Vallee de Mai and Anse Source d'Argent

Land at Seychelles International Airport on the island of Mahe. Receive assistance with your transfer and settle into your hotel. Use the remainder of your first day to unwind from your journey, take a swim in the hotel pool, or wander down to a nearby sandy beach to enjoy the ocean. Your night is spent at your hotel on Mahe.

Begin the day with breakfast before setting out on a scenic drive through Morne Seychellois National Park. Stop first at Mission Lodge, a historic school established for the children of freed slaves. Drive over the mountain ridge to the western coast for a Creole lunch. During the afternoon, visit the working studios of local artists like sculptor Tom Bower and painters Michael Adams, Georgette Camille, or Loic Barbotin. Conclude at the Botanical Gardens to view giant tortoises, fruit bats, and mature coco-de-mer palms before returning to your Mahe hotel.

Have breakfast and put on your hiking shoes for a guided nature trail through the Mare aux Cochon Valley. Enjoy breakfast, then board a boat for a three-island excursion. Your first stop is Cousin Island, an important breeding sanctuary for seabirds, nesting turtles, and resident giant tortoises. Next, cruise to Curieuse Island, home to extensive coco-de-mer groves and roaming tortoises. Savour an outdoor barbecue lunch on the island and explore its coastal forest trails and granite rocks. End your trip with a stop near St. Pierre Island to snorkel alongside colourful reef fish before heading back to sleep on Praslin.

Have breakfast and catch a quick 15-minute passenger ferry over to La Digue. Pick up your rental bicycle on arrival to travel at your own pace along scenic coastal tracks. Ride toward Anse Banane, stopping by Chez Jules if you wish to buy a light bite or cool drink. Continue pedalling to the calm, wave-free waters of Anse Fourmis. In the late afternoon, make your way to Anse Severe to watch the sunset from the beachside juice stalls, then settle into your accommodation.

Eat breakfast before heading out to the iconic boulders of Anse Source d'Argent. Embark on a three-hour guided glass-bottom kayak excursion over shallow coral gardens, watching out for marine life and visiting three hidden beaches reachable only from the water, including a natural seawater pool. After paddling, spend the afternoon taking in the granite formations. In the evening, gather for a fresh seafood dinner at Fish Trap restaurant before your final night on the island.

Enjoy breakfast before completing check-out formalities. Board the inter-island ferry back to Mahe. Upon reaching the harbour on Mahe, a private taxi transfer meets you and drives directly to Seychelles International Airport in good time to check in for your homeward international flight.
