Colonial architecture and misty mornings define this hill town, we just walked around, sipped tea and took in the old buildings at our own pace. The drive up from Kandy is long and winding so be ready for some motion sickness on the hairpin bends.
Nuwara Eliya feels like a slice of England tucked into the hill country, my wife and I fell in love with the misty mornings over the tea estates. World's End at Horton Plains is a proper trek but the view at the edge is worth every step.

World's End is stunning but we got there a bit late and the whole viewpoint was covered in cloud within twenty minutes, so plan an early start if you want clear visibility. Rest of the trip was pleasant enough.
Tea factory tour was fascinating, learning how Ceylon tea is actually processed before we sipped it fresh on the estate. Colonial architecture of the town has real charm though a few buildings looked a bit dated up close.
