What let it down was our beach resort room in Bentota, it smelled musty and the air conditioning rattled all night, so we barely slept the last two days. Turtle sanctuary visit was rushed too, in and out in under twenty minutes.

Honestly this was the most romantic four days we've had since our wedding. The drive up to Nuwara Eliya through the tea estates was misty and cool, exactly the break we needed from Chennai heat, and the tea tasting stop felt straight out of a movie. Bentota afterward was a different world entirely, warm ocean breeze, and the turtle conservation visit left both of us a little emotional watching the hatchlings.
