Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam Honeymoon

Arrive in Srinagar and receive a welcome cup of Kashmiri kahwa. Check in to your traditional carved wooden houseboat on Dal Lake. In the afternoon, explore the Mughal Gardens: Shalimar Bagh with its imperial layouts, terraced Nishat Bagh facing the Zabarwan range, and the natural spring pools of Chashme Shahi. If you feel up for a climb, you can visit the Shankaracharya Temple for valley views. Towards dusk, take a relaxing shikara ride on Dal Lake passing floating gardens. Have breakfast before taking a scenic two-hour drive to the alpine resort of Gulmarg, set among pine forests. You can ride the Gulmarg Gondola up to Kongdoori meadow in Phase I or continue onwards to Apharwat peak in Phase II if weather permits. Spend your time walking through expansive meadows, with pony rides and snow play or skiing available depending on the season. In the late afternoon, drive back to Srinagar. Depart Srinagar in the morning, driving past saffron fields and apple orchards towards Pahalgam along the Lidder River. On arrival, check in to your riverside accommodation. Spend the afternoon exploring Betaab Valley, known for its meadows along the river, followed by the quiet pine trails and wooden cottages of Aru Valley. If time and weather allow, you can proceed up to Chandanwari, the starting point for the Amarnath Yatra. Relax by the river banks towards evening. Breakfast and dinner are included. Travel back to Srinagar in the morning for a cultural and craft exploration. Visit the bustling lanes of Lal Chowk to shop for embroidered shawls, pherans, walnut wood carvings, copperware, and local dry fruits like almonds and walnuts. Step inside a traditional carpet-weaving workshop to observe handloom techniques. In the evening, unwind at the local cafés lining Dal Lake's promenade and sip warm kehwa as the city lights up. Enjoy breakfast on your final morning. If time permits before departure, you can make a stop at the Dal Lake floating market to watch trade between wooden boats, or visit Lal Chowk for last-minute shopping.
