The journey

This eight day journey follows the highway from Srinagar to Leh, taking you through high Himalayan passes, river valleys and historic border towns. Beginning with a traditional houseboat stay on Dal Lake, you ride across Zojila Pass into Dras and Kargil before visiting Lamayuru Monastery, Magnetic Hill and Shanti Stupa on the approach to Leh.

From Leh, the itinerary takes you north across Khardung La into Nubra Valley, the border village of Turtuk, and the salt waters of Pangong Tso. You return across Chang La pass to visit historic monasteries before concluding your tour with an airport transfer in Leh.
