A wonderful city for a couple's trip but this standard tier package felt a touch bare bones, our hotel was fine but nothing special and quite far from Gamla Stan requiring a longer walk each morning than we expected. The ABBA Museum and sunset viewpoint were genuinely great though.

Loved the slower pace of this itinerary, gave my partner and me plenty of room to just wander rather than rush between checkpoints. Monteliusvägen's viewpoint was the clear highlight for us, arrive early to get a good spot before the crowds build up.

Spending eight nights in just one city sounded like a lot before we left, but Stockholm has enough charm and pace to fill every single day comfortably. Our farewell dinner on the final evening, tucked in a cosy little restaurant, was the perfect way to close out the trip.

ABBA Museum was far more fun than either of us expected, we went in a little skeptical and left grinning and humming songs for days afterward. Gamla Stan the next morning gave us the quieter, more romantic contrast we needed.

Eight nights in one city sounded like a lot until we arrived. Gamla Stan's colourful alleys hid little cafes that weren't even in our notes, Monteliusvägen at sunset stopped us in our tracks, and our farewell dinner on the last night was the perfect bookend.

Stockholm has enough charm to fill eight days comfortably, we never ran out of alleys to wander or cafes to try. The ABBA Museum was daft fun and the sunset from Monteliusvägen was genuinely one of the loveliest views we've shared.
