Shopping stop included in Pattaya felt quite pushy, the guide kept steering us toward specific stores which was uncomfortable. Rest of the trip, especially Krabi and the island hopping, was genuinely lovely for us as a couple.
Grand Palace was crowded but still worth the visit for the architecture alone. Our favourite part was actually the calmer Krabi leg towards the end, much needed after the busier city days.
Perfect blend of city, beach town and quiet island for a couple's trip. Ten nights meant we never felt rushed moving between Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket and Krabi.
Pattaya felt a little too commercial for our taste compared to the rest of the trip. Phuket and Krabi completely redeemed it though, the sea cave kayaking was something we still talk about.
We marked our tenth anniversary with this trip and it delivered every day. Bangkok's Grand Palace gave us a rich cultural start, then Phuket brought the nightlife and Krabi the calm, and by the last island day we were completely unwound.
Marked our tenth anniversary with this Thailand itinerary and it did not disappoint even once. Bangkok's temples were a great cultural start before the beach legs began properly. Phuket and Krabi both had their own charm, Phuket livelier at night and Krabi calmer and nature focused. Coral Island's water was so clear we could see our feet standing waist deep.
