Not a single dull day across the whole trip for the two of us. The temple view over Chiang Mai from Doi Suthep was unexpectedly one of our favourite quiet moments of the whole honeymoon.

Chose green season for the lower prices and quieter beaches but got unlucky with two consecutive days of heavy rain in Krabi which cancelled our island hopping plans entirely. Had to rearrange the whole schedule last minute. Bangkok and Chiang Mai portions were unaffected and genuinely wonderful though.

Sunrise at Maya Bay with almost nobody else there, a moment we will replay for years.

Bangkok's Chinatown food crawl with my fiance was the loud, greasy highlight we had hoped for. Shame the day before it rained hard enough in Krabi to trim our island time, we lost an afternoon we had earmarked for kayaking.

Phi Phi's turquoise water was as dreamy as promised, we barely wanted to climb back on the boat.

Sunrise snorkelling near Phi Phi with the water glowing turquoise ranks among the best mornings of our marriage. Closing eleven days with a candlelit table on a Koh Samui beach, waves just there in the dark, felt almost scripted.
