Maya Bay genuinely stopped my wife mid-sentence, the turquoise really is that colour in person. We did the Phi Phi day trip on the same boat and our guide slipped us into a quiet cove away from the crowd for the snorkelling.
We came for a calm couple's escape and mostly got it. The lagoon kayaking in Phang Nga Bay was the standout, so peaceful before the other tour boats arrived. Patong got a little loud in the evenings but the seafood right by the water made up for it.
Phi Phi islands day trip was the clear highlight, beautiful scenery throughout. Patong itself felt a bit too touristy and loud for our taste in the evenings, would have preferred a quieter base.

Krabi to Phuket turned out to be such a well paced romantic route for us. Phang Nga Bay kayaking in the morning quiet before other boats arrived was probably my favourite two hours of the whole trip. Maya Bay's turquoise water genuinely looked unreal in person, and our beachfront dinner in Patong that evening with the waves right there was such a lovely way to end the day. Great value for what we paid too.
