Land at Paro International Airport, meet your guide and begin the scenic drive to Thimphu. Stop on the way to view Tachogang Lhakhang and cross its 15th-century iron bridge, then pause at Chuzom where the Paro and Thimphu rivers meet. Continue up the valley into Thimphu and settle into your hotel for a two-night stay.

Descend into the warm Punakha Valley to explore Punakha Dzong at the river confluence, then walk across the Punakha Suspension Bridge. Overnight in Punakha.

Have breakfast, check out and travel back to Paro across Dochula Pass. On arrival, take a relaxing walk along the Paro riverside, then visit the massive fortress of Rinpung Dzong. Explore the National Museum of Bhutan, housed inside the historic Ta Dzong watchtower, followed by free time to browse local shops and cafes in Paro town. Overnight in Paro.

Dedicate the day to Paro Taktsang after breakfast, setting off on the steady uphill hike to Tiger's Nest monastery perched on a sheer cliff high above the valley. Walk through pine forests draped with prayer flags and take in sweeping views along the trail. Afterwards, you can unwind with a traditional hot-stone bath, optional at extra cost. Return to Paro for the night.
