Every moment of this Istanbul escape felt curated for couples wanting both history and romance in equal measure. The Grand Bazaar's chaos of colours and spices was a sensory overload we loved, the Blue Mosque's tilework left us both quiet for a while, and cruising the Bosphorus at sunset hand in hand as the city glowed on both banks was the highlight of our whole trip. My husband still talks about this getaway months later.

Only complaint is the transfer from the airport took much longer than expected due to traffic, cutting into our first evening at the Bazaar. Once we got going the Bosphorus cruise and mosque visit were lovely, but that first day felt rushed because of it.
