Ujjain, Omkareshwar, Maheshwar and Mandu Tour

Arrive at Indore airport or railway station, meet your representative, and transfer to your hotel to rest. If time permits, take a stroll through the local markets to experience the street atmosphere, try local snacks like poha-jalebi, or visit Sarafa Bazaar in the evening. Settle in for your overnight stay in Indore.

Have breakfast and take a 1.5-hour drive to the ancient pilgrimage city of Ujjain along the Shipra River. Begin your visits at Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, one of the twelve sacred Shiva shrines. Stop by local handloom weaving centers to see how traditional Maheshwari saris are woven, then stay overnight in Maheshwar.

Enjoy breakfast, then make the one-hour drive to Mandu. Settle into your hotel before discovering this ancient fortress city surrounded by baobab trees and lakes. Inspect the sloping walls of Hindola Mahal and see Jahaz Mahal set between its two waters. Visit Hoshang Shah's Tomb, built of white marble, and climb up to Roopmati Pavilion with views across the Narmada plains. See Nilkanth Palace, and if time permits, take a walk to Kakra Koh Waterfall. Overnight in Mandu.

Have breakfast and take the two-hour drive back to Indore. Check into your hotel, and after lunch head out for city sightseeing. Stop at the seven-story Rajwada Palace, followed by the grand rooms of Lal Bagh Palace. Browse regional antiquities at the Central Museum. Finish the afternoon with an excursion to Patalpani Waterfall, a popular picnic spot set in green landscape, before returning to Indore for your final night.
