Six nights across three cities meant packing light and moving fast, which suited us as an active couple. Dubrovnik's city walls walk took nearly three hours in the heat but the Adriatic views made every step worth it. Split's old palace streets at night, lit up and quiet, were unexpectedly the most romantic part of the trip. Only wish we had one more night in Dubrovnik itself.
My husband and I have done a few European trips together but this one stood out for pacing. Six nights felt just right, Dubrovnik for history and views, Split for that lived-in Roman charm, Zagreb for a slower city close before flying home. The Blue Lagoon swim was cold but so refreshing after a hot day of walking. Booking this again for our next milestone anniversary, no question.
