Loved the pace of this trip, rail travel across three cities never once felt rushed. The Memorial to the Murdered Jews was heavier than we expected but important to sit with. Only complaint is the transfer from Frankfurt to the airport ran quite late.
Munich and the castle stole the show completely, though our Frankfurt hotel room felt a bit dated and cramped for the price we paid. Still, the Hofbrauhaus evening with beer and pretzels more than made up for it.

Neuschwanstein Castle left us both speechless, straight out of a storybook. Frankfurt's evening walk along the Main was the perfect quiet close to a busy week.
Honestly the itinerary looked dreamier on paper. Munich was magical but Frankfurt felt like a rushed add on with barely a day to explore, and food near our hotel was shockingly overpriced. Neuschwanstein alone makes it worth considering though.
