Munich hotel check-in took over ninety minutes with our tired kids waiting around in the lobby the whole time. Rough start to what ended up being a genuinely lovely family trip otherwise. Front desk seemed understaffed for the number of families arriving around the same time. Would suggest building in buffer time after the flight for exactly this kind of delay.
The Glockenspiel at Marienplatz had our kids utterly mesmerised, the perfect opener for the Munich stop.
