Pelion villages are charming and quiet, perfect for slow afternoon walks. A couple of the tavernas we tried were shut for siesta though, so plan your timing around that.
This felt like exactly the right mix of culture and coast for a couple's break. The Acropolis Museum stop before heading out to Pelion set a thoughtful tone for the rest of the week. Anavros Beach gave us the relaxation we needed, and the island day trip added a nice change of scenery. Six nights was the perfect length, not rushed anywhere and not a single wasted day either.
