Beautiful trip overall, the kind of history and scenery combination you want your children to see at least once. Santorini hotel had incredible caldera views though the walk down to the water involved a lot of steps for younger kids to manage.
Sights were spectacular but travelling between three islands with young children involved more ferry time than we anticipated, one transfer ran late and we lost a chunk of an afternoon in Santorini waiting around at the port. Would still recommend it, just build in a buffer day if you can.
Two kids on their first big international trip, and Greece turned out to be a wonderful choice for all of us. Athens gave us the history lesson, the Acropolis at golden hour is something photos really do not capture properly. Mykonos let everyone slow down and just enjoy gelato and beach afternoons. Santorini was the grand finale, the volcano boat trip felt like a real adventure and the Oia sunset on our last evening had all four of us just sitting there quietly, no phones, just watching.
