Rome, Venice and Modena in eleven nights turned out to be the perfect mix for us, ancient history, romantic canals, and then completely unexpectedly a car museum that my husband still brings up months later, the gondola ride at sunset on the Grand Canal was every bit as romantic as the brochures promise and somehow more so in person.
A wonderful route overall, but the Sistine Chapel was so densely packed we were shuffled through in under ten minutes, no chance to just stand and take it in on what was meant to be a slow, special morning.
