Atsuta Jingu Shrine was a peaceful, unexpected favourite for us, quieter than the other big shrines we had read about, though signage in English was fairly limited.
Nagoya Castle gave the kids a proper hit of samurai history to picture as we walked the grounds.
Toyota Museum followed by the SCMAGLEV train exhibit was such a hit with my car obsessed son, he talked about the maglev trains for weeks after we got home.
A well organised week overall, kids enjoyed LEGOLAND the most, we just felt one full day could have been added given how much there was to see in Nagoya alone.
Nagoya Castle gave us a good dose of history, walking the grounds imagining old samurai life, though the reconstructed interior felt a bit more modern than we expected.
Planetarium at the Nagoya City Science Museum is genuinely one of the best we have seen, the dome show on the solar system had both kids asking questions the whole ride back.
