National Mosque visit was peaceful and well organised for visitors. Skybridge tickets sell out fast though so book early if travelling solo without an agent chasing it for you.
Doing Chinatown street food at my own pace was pure freedom, no group to coordinate with, just me deciding when to stop for satay.
Travelling alone to KL for three nights turned out to be one of my better solo decisions this year. The Petronas Skybridge queue was long but worth it, the city just spreads out beneath you. National Mosque gave me a completely different, calmer mood compared to the chaos of Chinatown an hour later. Thean Hou Temple in the evening light with the whole city visible below was honestly the quiet highlight nobody warns you about. Perfect pace for someone who likes to wander without a group.
As a solo female traveller I felt safe navigating KL on my own, the metro system made getting between the Twin Towers and Chinatown painless.
KL had its moments solo, the temples especially, but the Chinatown vendors got pushy the second they spotted a lone tourist, which wore me down by the second evening. Three nights was plenty of this particular loop for me.
As a solo female traveller the metro made hopping between the Twin Towers and Chinatown completely painless.
