Nice balance of culture and beach for someone travelling alone. Manila traffic ate into my first afternoon there more than I expected so plan sightseeing time generously. Everything from Boracay onward went smoothly and the sunsets on White Beach were unforgettable.

Went on this trip alone after a rough year and it turned out to be exactly the reset I needed. Manila's Fort Santiago gave me a slow, reflective start before the pace picked up in Boracay. San Agustin Church in Cebu was unexpectedly moving, such intricate detail inside for a building of that age. Meeting other solo travellers along White Beach made the whole week feel less lonely than I expected going in.
Travelling solo through Manila, Boracay and Cebu gave me exactly the mix of history and beach time I was hoping for. Yapak Beach was quieter than the main strip and worth the extra trip out. Sunset at White Beach alone with a drink in hand, genuinely one of my favourite travel moments this year.
