Expected a bit more polish given the premium pricing, our Interlaken hotel had a noisy street facing room for two of the nights. Lake Thun cruise itself was lovely though and Jungfraujoch is genuinely spectacular. Would suggest requesting a quieter room upfront if booking this.
Good trip for couples wanting a mix of culture and alpine adventure. Weather turned cloudy for our Kleine Scheidegg day so the peaks were partially hidden which was a bit unlucky. Rest of the week made up for that disappointment.
Switzerland delivers on every postcard promise and this itinerary hit most of the big names without feeling rushed. Chapel Bridge was our favourite quiet moment, early morning before the crowds arrive is the way to do it. Jungfraujoch day was long, almost twelve hours out and back, so pace yourself with layers and snacks. Victoria Jungfrau spa evening more than made up for the tiring day though.
Really well curated route, easing us in with slow days in Bern before the adventure picked up in Interlaken.
My husband is not usually one for scenery but even he went quiet at Kleine Scheidegg with those three peaks in front of us. Seven nights across Bern, Lucerne and Interlaken never felt repetitive, each town had its own rhythm. Highly recommend for a milestone anniversary.
The route eased us in gently, slow days ambling round Bern's old town before the adventure ramped up in Interlaken. That long soak in the spa after a hard day's hiking was pure, aching-legged bliss.
