Swiss Travel Pass 2025: Is It Worth It?

It costs nearly 1,000 AED per person. Before you buy it, check our math.

Switzerland has the best public transport in the world, and the most expensive. The "Swiss Travel Pass" (STP) promises unlimited travel. But for many UAE families doing a standard "Zurich > Interlaken > Geneva" route, it might be overkill.

Buy It IF:

  • • You plan to visit 3+ cities in 4 days.
  • • You want to visit museums (500+ are free).
  • • You value "hop-on hop-off" flexibility over saving 50 CHF.
  • • You are taking the scenic Glacier Express or Bernina Express.

Skip It IF:

  • • You are staying in ONE region (e.g., just Interlaken/Grindelwald). Buy the "Berner Oberland Pass" instead.
  • • You plan to rent a car.
  • • You only have 2 days in Switzerland.
