Currency conversion and card payments at some smaller stops along the route were confusing for us, a couple of shops only took cash and we were not warned in advance. The scenery and the actual itinerary planning were excellent though, just wish there had been clearer guidance on payment options at each stop.
Group size was perfect for this itinerary, three generations of our family travelling together through Bern, Lucerne, Interlaken, Montreux and Zurich without anyone feeling left out. Jungfraujoch's Ice Palace was a genuine highlight for the kids and grandparents alike. Chillon Castle followed by chocolate tasting at Maison Cailler made for a lovely, easy day. The Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau peaks from Kleine Scheidegg left all of us just staring silently for a while.
A snowball fight with the kids up on the Titlis glacier in June was pure, giddy joy.
