Only real complaint is that the hotel near Interlaken felt quite dated for what is meant to be a premium package. Everything else across the nine nights, especially the mountain excursions, was genuinely excellent.
GoldenPass Line train ride with Chillon Castle waiting at the end was the most scenic single day of the trip.
A superb nine nights on the whole, but for a premium package the hotel near Interlaken felt distinctly dated, tired furnishings and a cramped family room. The mountain excursions were flawless enough that we mostly overlooked it.
Watching the Zytglogge clock tower do its little show with the kids, then spotting real bears at the Bear Park right after, made Bern a genuine sleeper hit for our family. Lake Lucerne cruise the next day was a nice, calmer follow up before Mount Pilatus's big views. Jungfraujoch a few days later had our boys throwing snowballs in the middle of July, pure disbelief on their faces. Chillon Castle at the very end tied the whole nine nights together beautifully.
Loved the GoldenPass train and Chillon Castle, but nine nights and this much travel left the kids frazzled by the time we reached Montreux.
Chocolate tasting at Maison Cailler was a genuinely good time for both kids and adults, rare that everyone agrees.
