Great family trip through Switzerland, Jungfraujoch especially was worth the early start and the cold. Zurich felt like the weakest link in the itinerary, not much specifically for kids there.
Well planned route through the Swiss Alps for families. Chillon Castle's dungeons were a surprise hit with our kids, though Interlaken itself felt like more of a transit stop than a destination for us.
Maison Cailler's chocolate tasting was hands down our kids' favourite stop of this whole Swiss family trip.
Five towns in eleven nights and every single one added something different for our family. Lake Lucerne cruise on day one set a relaxed tone early, the kids loved spotting the mountains reflected in the water. Chillon Castle turned into an unexpected favourite, our son pretended to be a knight for the rest of the trip after exploring the dungeons. Gornergrat's view of the Matterhorn on a clear day was the single most beautiful mountain vista any of us had ever seen. Even the grandparents managed the altitude and walking without much trouble.
The trains kept two young kids surprisingly content between towns, which I had not dared hope for. Gornergrat on a clear morning gave us the finest mountain view any of us had ever laid eyes on.
We worried the pace might be too much for young kids, but Switzerland's trains made everything so smooth between towns. Jungfraujoch and Gornergrat both left us in awe on the same trip, hard to pick a favourite.
