Views at the top are spectacular but the queue for the cable car up to Glacier Paradise was long and disorganized with young kids getting restless. Once up there it was worth it, but the wait tested our patience.
The train ride into Zermatt itself was an experience for the kids, no cars anywhere in the village which fascinated them endlessly. Matterhorn Glacier Paradise gave us views none of us expected to see in person. We did the gentle walk down from Gornergrat to Riffelsee and caught a rare still moment where the Matterhorn reflected perfectly on the water. Our last evening fondue dinner as a family was such a warm way to close the trip. Would absolutely return with the kids for a longer stay next time.
