We believe in transparency. Here is what AI can't do (yet), so you can plan with realistic expectations.
AI trip planners are powerful, but they are not perfect. Understanding their limitations helps travelers use them more effectively.
Common limitations include dependence on user input quality, limited handling of niche preferences, and the occasional need for manual refinement. AI trip planners significantly outperform manual planning for most travelers, but when mistakes happen, they are usually due to data lags or vague requests.
AI understands "popular," but it doesn't understand "charm." It might suggest a top-rated tourist trap over a dusty, authentic café unless told otherwise.
If a volcano erupts or a strike cancels all trains, a human agent can call favors. AI can only suggest re-routes.
"Find me a library that smells like old vanilla." AI struggles with sensory or extremely abstract requests that lack data tags.
If a restaurant closed yesterday, the AI might not know yet. Google Maps also suffers from this, but it's a known digital risk.
Use AI for 90% of the heavy lifting (logistics, routes, options). Use your brain for the final 10% (vibe check, specific needs).
