The Showdown

Emirates vs FlyDubai vs Air Arabia:
Who Wins?

Full-service luxury vs hybrid vs ultra low-cost. We flew all three this year to give you the honest truth.

EmiratesThe Luxury King

Pros

  • Food: Always included. Usually good.
  • IFE: 'ICE' system is the world's best TV.
  • Bags: Generous (25kg-30kg+).

Cons

  • Price: Usually the most expensive.
  • Crowds: DXB Terminal 3 is absolutely massive and busy.
FlyDubaiThe Modern Hybrid

Pros

  • Network: Flies to weird/unique places (Tivat, Al Ula).
  • Integration: Earns Skywards miles. Seamless bags transfer to Emirates.
  • Seat: New MAX jets have great seats.

Cons

  • Bus Gates: You almost ALWAYS have to take a bus to the plane.
  • Confusing: 'Lite' fares have literally nothing included.
Air ArabiaThe Budget Warrior

Pros

  • Price: Often the cheapest option.
  • Legroom: Surprisingly good (32-inch pitch) - better than FlyDubai!
  • Airport: Sharjah Airport is small and fast.

Cons

  • Strict: Weigh everything. Zero tolerance on excess bags.
  • Old Tech: No screens. No USB ports on older planes.
