Dubai to Saudi Arabia:
Flights for Umrah & Tourism

With KSA opening up for tourism and millions performing Umrah, flights are in high demand. Here is how to find the cheapest route to the Kingdom.

🕋 Umrah Flights (Jeddah & Madinah)

To Jeddah (JED)

The main gateway. Only 1 hour from Makkah by train/bus. High frequency of flights (Emirates, Saudia, Flynas, FlyDubai).

Price: AED 900+

To Madinah (MED)

Closer to the Prophet's Mosque but fewer flights. Often more expensive than Jeddah. Consider flying into MED and out of JED (Open Jaw).

Price: AED 1,200+

🏙️ Business & Tourism (Riyadh & Al Ula)

Dubai to Riyadh: The busiest business route in the Middle East. Over 20 flights a day. Prices are high on weekdays, lower on weekends.
Dubai to Al Ula: FlyDubai operates direct seasonal flights to this historic wonder. It is pricey but saves a 10-hour drive from Jeddah.

🚌 The "Budget" Bus Option

SAPTCO Bus

If flights are too expensive (e.g., during Ramadan), you can take a luxury bus from Dubai/Sharjah to Riyadh or Makkah. It takes 20-25 hours but costs only AED 250-350.

💡 Visa Rules (2025 Update)

  • GCC Residents: If you have a valid UAE residency, you can get a 1-year multiple entry eVisa for Saudi Arabia instantly online. It costs ~300 SAR.
  • Umrah Access: The standard tourist eVisa allows you to perform Umrah. You do not need a specific "Umrah Visa" anymore unless carrying Zamzam water on some strict airlines (check specifically).
