I had hoped for more breathing room in the Paris leg, we were forever racing between the Eiffel Tower, Louvre and Seine cruise in barely two days. Nice was paced better but by then everyone was already running on empty.
Our Paris to Nice flight got delayed and we lost nearly the whole first evening set aside for the Promenade des Anglais, which stung with two tired kids. Communication about the change was poor and left us scrambling, though the later Nice and Marseille days were lovely once we settled.
Brought my parents and our two kids on this France trip and honestly it worked for three generations, which is rare. Paris days were busy but the Seine cruise at night with the Eiffel Tower sparkling made every tired leg worth it. Nice slowed things down nicely, kids splashing near the promenade while grandparents relaxed with a coffee nearby. Marseille rounded things off gently, and Notre Dame de la Garde gave us one last great family photo before heading home.
